I remember Chick tracts, I think they were called, back in the 80s. Little booklets with pretty fundamentalist interpretations. I was into Dungeons & Dragons at the time, and they had one detailing the Satanic influence running through it. Turned me off for many years.

I was combative towards Christianity for many years after that, but have since read the Bible as a spiritual work. Not reading it just to find points to argue. I'm more interested in the mystical traditions within it.
